Minimum Stay:

We have a two night minimum stay policy, but often we have one-night availability between two longer reservations. Please call or email us and we would be happy to try and accommodate your requests.

Deposits:

We require an advance deposit in order to confirm your reservation.
Deposits are equal to the last two nights of your stay. The remainder plus Maine State Sales tax (currently 7%) is due upon arrival. We accept AMEX, Visa, MC, and Discover cards. Personal checks must be received within 10 days of making the reservation and at least 10 prior to your arrival.Specials and Packages are paid in full.

Check In and Check Out Times:

Check-in times are from 3-9 PM. If you will be arriving after 9 PM please call the desk to make arrangements for a very late check-in. The innkeeper will give you instructions. Check-out time is 11 AM.

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellations made at least 10 days prior to arrival will ensure a prompt refund. Within 10 days, refunds are given only if we are able to re-rent the accommodations. In any case, there is a $25 bookkeeping fee. Special packages may have different cancellation policies. Please ask. If you choose to simply re-schedule your reservation, there is no cancellation charge.

Pet Policy:

No Pets Please. There are lodging facilities available that accept. Pets. We suggest that you contact the Bar Harbor Chamber of Commerce for a list.

Please give your family the guest line phone number: 207 288-2352 + (room number). We have a voice mail system so they can leave a message. Retrieval directions are in your room directory. Local and 800 numbers are free. You must use a phone card for long distance calls.

We offer high speed broadband cable in each room as well as free WiFi. Sign out a patch cord in the office if you need one.

There are DVD players in all the rooms. We have a DVD library of movies in the office - free loan. Just ask.

Occupancy Policy:

Our insurance carriers and local fire department require that each occupant of a room or suite must have a bed (or crib). Children cannot sleep in the parent's bed. For each extra occupant over 2 years of age, the fee is $20 plus tax per day. We do not have cribs to rent. Rollaway cots are used only for children under 12 years of age and under, and can only be used in selected rooms (some exceptions apply). A sleep sofa can only be used for two small children or one adult. We reserve the right to decline any reservations made under false pretenses that does not conform to these requirements.

Winter Reservations:

November to May; The suites are rented during the winter season without food or housekeeping service, but at a half-price rate. Since the Inn building is closed, I ask that you call my cell phone when you get to Ellsworth (207 460-4263 so that I can be at the office when you arrive.
